Finnish quantum computing firm IQM has deployed its 20-qubit Pathfinder system at the U.S. Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory, marking a significant expansion into the American market.
IQM's first U.S. quantum computer is live — at DoE Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Pathfinder, our 20-qubit IQM Radiance system, is now operational at the U.S. Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), one of the world's most important scientific computing sites. The system will be connected to ORNL's HPC infrastructure — owned and operated by their teams, on their campus, with full control of the IP. This is Production Quantum. Speaking at today's ribbon-cutting ceremony in Tennessee, our CEO Jan Goetz said: "Quantum becomes useful when it works inside real computing infrastructure. There is no better place to prove that. Oak Ridge is where serious computing gets done." The deployment expands our commercial presence in the U.S. ahead of our planned Nasdaq listing through a merger with Real Asset Acquisition Corp. (Nasdaq: RAAQ). Big step forward for quantum computing in Oak Ridge National Laboratory.🇺🇸🌎 The fleet of IQM quantum computers deployed around the world is now expanding to the United States. This is a testament to production quantum computing: not a service you rent, but infrastructure you own. Building sovereign quantum capability starts with real systems with proven performance, operating in real environments, delivering value where the data and users are. --- Reshared Post by IQM Quantum Computers --- IQM's first U.S. quantum computer is live — at DoE Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
