IQM Quantum Computers has made history by selling its first quantum computer to a private enterprise, GALAXY Systemy Informatyczne in Poland, marking a significant step towards commercial quantum adoption.
Private enterprise just entered the quantum era. History was made today in Zielona Góra, Poland. GALAXY Systemy Informatyczne Sp. z o.o. just became the first private enterprise in the world to purchase a quantum computer from IQM. Not access one through the cloud. Own one. This is what our model was built for. On-premises deployment means customers own their infrastructure, control their IP, and build quantum capabilities that compound over time. We already operate the largest deployed fleet of quantum computers in the world, and today that fleet gets bigger. Galaxy joins Leibniz Supercomputing Centre in Germany, VTT in Finland, CINECA in Italy, and CESGA in Spain as the latest customer to take ownership of IQM infrastructure. The 54-qubit Radiance system installs at Galaxy's headquarters in the fourth quarter of 2026, serving users across industry and academia, with applications spanning space technologies, financial markets, and energy. Congratulations to Galaxy and the whole team in Poland.
